Qualifications & experience

  • - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
  • - Preferably those having experience dealing with telco communication project works (TIMEDOTCOM, ALLO, TNB, and TM).
  • - At least 3 years working experience in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering at construction site.
  • - AGTES (Authorized Gas Tester & Entrance Supervisor) - CIDB (Construction)
  • - Fluent to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of plumbing systems, including water supply, sewage, and drainage for high-rise building projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure the timely execution of work in compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards, particularly in dealing with DBKL, MBPJ, Air Selangor, and other relevant authorities. Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality control for all plumbing and reticulation work.
  • Manage project timelines, ensuring deliverables are met within the specified timeframe and budget.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source and select appropriate materials and suppliers for plumbing and sewerage systems.
  • Prepare project documentation, including progress reports, RFI (Request for Information), site memos, and technical drawings. Review and resolve design and technical challenges that arise during the course of the project.
  • Manage and update progress claims and variations, ensuring accuracy in billings and compliance with contract terms.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
  • Attend project meetings and provide input on technical and operational matters related to plumbing systems.
