Keys Areas:

Assisting the corporate, Legal & Compliance Affairs Department in all aspects of Legal and Corporate secretarial works matters, providing legal advice and input from legal standpoint, statutory audit, documentation, advisory and ad-hoc work as delegated and instructed by the Executive Chairman from time to time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To prioritize and handle all tasks related to the comprehensive review and analysis of insurance and reinsurance documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
  • To assist in all Legal and Corporate Secretarial work for the Group of Companies.
  • To carry out legal research, review vet and peruse a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements.
  • To draft and solidify a wide range of agreements, contracts, statements, terms and conditions, legal letters, and other legal documents to ensure the company's full legal rights are in place.
  • To provide advice on Compliance requirements and ensure all companies within the organization comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • To assist with litigation matters, review legal documentation and liaison with external panel solicitors.
  • To anticipate and manage the (legal) risks connected with or resulting from the business strategy and operations.
  • To assist and support the Company Secretary in efficient administration of the company, particularly in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and for ensuring that the decisions of the board of directors are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Attend and assist in organizing annual general meetings (AGMs) and quarterly board meetings (preparing agendas, notice of meetings, compiling board papers, taking minutes and so on).
  • Attend to any other duties as may be delegated by your supervisors as and when required and keeping up to date with any regulatory or statutory changes and policies that might affect the organization.

Requirements:

  • Process a bachelor's degree in law with at least 2-5 years of working experience in the required field.
  • We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin/ Cantonese to effectively communicate with Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to identify and analyse legal issues and recommended solutions.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Good drafting, communication, and research skills.
  • Qualification in bachelor's degree, post graduated Diploma, Professional Degree.
  • Advanced academics degrees and certification.
