Summary:

Our client specializes in developing and delivering innovative renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from initial site selection and feasibility studies to project execution and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the renewable energy landscape, exceptional project management skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale energy projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project development strategies that align with the company’s renewable energy goals and growth objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new project opportunities in solar, wind, and energy storage, conducting comprehensive feasibility studies and market analyses.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, and environmental teams to optimize project design and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the permitting process, including environmental assessments and public consultation, to secure all necessary approvals.
  • Negotiate land leases, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and contracts with suppliers and contractors to secure resources for project development.
  • Monitor project financial performance, ensuring alignment with company targets and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle, including financial, operational, and regulatory risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project development within the renewable energy sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of solar, wind, and energy storage technologies and their respective development processes.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale renewable energy projects from inception to operation.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and environmental compliance in the renewable energy industry.
