- Plan, conceptualise and create mechanical designs for new products and for improvement of the existing products.
- Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of new designs.
- Responsible for new product design and new product cost calculation.
- To liaise with Factory Manager and Top Management for any technical issues during new product development.
- Review customers' part design and propose DFM (Design For Manufacturing).
- Manage new product and tooling design activities to ensure proper new start-up compliance with customer requirements.
- Create and review technical drawings, plans and specifications using computer software.
- Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering and operation teams and with partners and raw material manufacturers.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, plan, schedule changes and recommending actions.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the management.
