Job Summary:
Plan, propose and execute the implementation plan of Café Mesra and Makan@Mesra offerings through sourcing and selection of suppliers, food and drink offerings, hardware injection and overall ambience in Mesra Convenience Stores (C-Stores) to achieve revenue and income at the same time maintaining operation standard of Ready To Eat (RTE), Ready To Cook (RTC) and Ready To Drink (RTD) offerings.

You will play a part in:

  • Bakery, RTE, RTC and RTD Strategy.
  • Food & Beverage Equipment Standard & Operating Guidelines.
  • Food & Beverages Solutions Category Management.
  • Product & Pricing Strategy.
  • New business opportunity & innovation strategy.
  • C-Store campaign & promotional activities.

Vendor Management

  • Sourcing new potential suppliers and maintain good relationship with existing suppliers.
  • Negotiate Trading Terms with supplier to achieve the best deal for our company.

Product Development & Price Strategy

  • Be resourceful and keep abreast with market current trend of customers.
  • Identify and develop potential product which meet customers’ demand.
  • Develop signature food and beverages of Café Mesra.
  • Strategize the implementation of white-label brands (Sayheart & Fusion) and offering at the best price for Café Mesra.
  • Responsible in product selection by conducting food tasting and cost price negotiation to get better margin.
  • Conducting market survey and competitor price survey to ensure our price is competitive in the market.

Promotional Activities:

  • Plan and execute promotion activities by developing LTO items, product selection, promo cost negotiation and work closely with Marketing team on the POSM.
  • Initiate store opening special and In-house promotion apart from yearly promotion.

SOP, Product Training and Planogram:

  • Develop product SOP which align with food safety standard and MOH.
  • Plan and organize Product Training for Café Mesra Ops team and NFSO & Dealer for Makan @ Mesra
  • Develop planogram and standard display for Café Mesra Ops team for their reference and execution.

Sales Analysis

  • Analyze sales performance and conduct category and range review for both Café Mesra and Makan @ Mesra.

Support:

  • Supporting Café Mesra Ops team for new Cafe opening and Café Mesra events.
  • Supporting NFSO team & Dealer for PS opening.

NFSO & Dealer Engagement- Makan @ Mesra:

  • Conduct ASAS training for new dealers and food safety training.
  • Quarterly Dealer Engagement by region.

Vital skills for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Retail Merchandising-Food Division, F&B Industry or food technology and knowledge in food safety.
  • Proven experience in food service management, product development, or a related role.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
