Scope of works includes, but not limited to:
- On-site supervision: Directly supervise day-to-day operations, ensuring the project is on time, budget and under safety protocols. This includes managing contractors, subcontractors and resolving any on-site issues that may arise.
- Quality control: Ensuring that the quality of works is satisfactory to the project owner, and that all works comply with design documents and industry standards.
- Inspection and Approval: Conducting regular inspections of all stages of works and ensuring work is approved before the next phase.
- Design compliance: To make sure works are aligned with approved civil and structural design drawings and specifications.
- Site Safety management: Establish and enforce a safety management plan on-site, conducting regular safety audits.
- To be aware of environmental laws and regulations, ensuring the construction process meets local standards.
- To note daily activities, progress, milestones and to generate detailed reports providing stakeholders with updates on the project.
- To communicate with the Project Consultants and delegate any relevant information to all stakeholders
- Managing and reporting any variations to the contract, ensuring changes are approved by the owner.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Min 7 years of experience in site supervision, preferably for industrial construction projects.
- Familiar with Industrial projects, such as factories, warehouses, or processing plants.
- Experience in construction site management – able to supervise all aspects of site works.
- Understanding of structural design and analysis.
- Budget and Cost control understanding.
- Scheduling – experience in using Microsoft Project.
- Design and Drafting – experienced in using CAD software (such as AutoCAD) for reviewing drawings and drafting suggestions and solutions on-site.
- Risk management – to be able to identify, analyze and mitigate potential risks.
- Communication skills – to be able to communicate in English language between all stakeholders.
- Knowledge in Malaysian building standards and relevant by-laws.
- Safety regulations: Deep understanding of safety standards, especially OSHA.
