Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate and assist GMD setting and driving organizational vision and operations strategy;
  • GCOO is responsible on the Operations aspect of the company;
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning;
  • Overseeing the Business Units (subsidiaries) on daily business operations and improving operating procedures for optimal efficiency;
  • Engaged actively with the BOD subsidiaries on building the company’s capacity to implement a strategic and growth plan;
  • Ensure successful implementation of business strategies and operational plans and ensure compliance to all relevant regulations/SOP;
  • Upgrade and implement an appropriate operational system of policies, internal controls, governance and procedures;
  • Actively oversee the projects implementation to ensure all projects are delivered within time, scope and budget;
  • Enhance growth through new ventures and partnerships by formulating development strategies, guidelines and plans;
  • Mentoring and inspiring the subordinates into the vision of the management;
  • Evaluating company performance and recommend strategies to improve results;
  • Collaborating with management to carry out other business-expanding strategies;
  • Ensure that the financial KPIs are delivered and implemented within the parameters, policies processes and governance of the organization;
  • Review and monitor the budget for CAPEX and OPEX for project development related activities;
  • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals;
  • Instill a culture of innovation and high performance at all levels be it management and staff;
  • Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results;
  • Coach and develop direct reports, create a high functioning management team;
  • To develop competent employees that are able to meet the business changes; and
  • Advise on the need for future manpower requirements as part of business expansion


QUALIFICATION


  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management or related equivalent
  • Advanced degree is preferred i.e. MBA.
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in a Senior Management role.


Experience


  • Proven 10 years of experience in a leadership role; preferably as as GCOO or in a similar executive position.
  • Strong operational expertise in Business Development, Project Management and Financial.
  • Possess knowledge on operational across various functions including Finance, Legal, HR and Corporate Communication.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing business strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
