Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large-scale capital projects such as plant expansions, upgrades, or new installations, from concept to execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of chemical plant projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls, ensuring effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.
  • Oversee daily chemical plant operations, ensuring efficient and safe production processes while working closely with plant equipment and engineering teams.
  • Drive process optimization efforts by analyzing plant operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process flow improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Design and commission chemical manufacturing plants or major equipment, utilizing design tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other industry-standard software for equipment layouts and system designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, quality control, and production to ensure seamless integration of engineering projects and operational goals.
  • Conduct and participate in Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) and implement risk management techniques to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.


Ideal Candidates

  • 5-7 years of chemical/petrochemical manufacturing experience with hands-on in chemical plant operations, process engineering, and plant equipment.
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / related field.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale capital projects (e.g. plant expansions, upgrades, or new process installations).
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical process optimization, troubleshooting, and process flow improvements.
  • Experience with designing and commissioning chemical manufacturing plants or major plant equipment. Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other design tools for equipment layout and system designs.
  • Familiarity with Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) and other risk management techniques in chemical plants.
  • Experience in overseeing construction, installation, and commissioning of chemical plant projects.
