  • Performs good customer service to contribute to a warm welcoming ambience of the counter service in line with the Hospital Mission and Vision
  • Performs timely and efficient counter services including registration, admission, and discharge process according to the department Policies & Procedures
  • Performs patient verification by sighting any form of photo identification document belonging to patient and perform IPSG1 check to ensure that the correct patient is being registered
  • Performs financial counselling to patients for admission or before procedures and ensure all required documents are complete and in place as per hospital procedures
  • To obtain patient and guarantor signatures on all forms and ensure all standard forms are completed with the required information
  • Always ensure efficient and accurate billing
  • Responsible for the cashier's float so that all monies are properly accounted for
  • Manages counter refunds according to the Hospital Policies & Procedures
  • Pursues and collects payment for overdue deposits from in house patients to minimise credit risks
  • Prepares the daily end-of-the-shift Cashier Counter Closing report to reflect an accurate reconciliation with the actual daily collection. All collection discrepancies must be accounted for
  • Ensures all documents required for corporate billing are in place before submitting to Credit Control
  • Attend to patient enquiries, provides proper and clear explanation in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Execute Insurance claims process, required to liaise with Insurance and Corporates
  • Performs any other duties assigned by your superiors and management from time to time

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum SPM with at least 1 year / 4 years of working experience in a hospital, health related organization or administrative environment.
  • Preferably working knowledge in the use of statistical methods and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge in MS Word and Excel is essential.
  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with consultants, client representatives, designers and contractors
  • A person who is meticulous, detailed-oriented and result driven
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30AM - 5:30PM) & Saturday(8:30AM - 1:00PM)
