Summary

The position is a head of department responsible to oversee and manage for the smooth functioning of the Group Operation Finance and related operational issue by ensuring activities of the department are carried out in a professional manner meeting the overall objective of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, supervise and ensure the efficient and effective functioning of overall hospital and non-hospital operation, maintaining proper accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards and Companies Act 2016, financial management, tax compliance within the division in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Oversee financial and corporate reporting function, including Bursa reporting and liaising with Company Secretary for the necessary regulatory compliance matters.
  • Oversee budgetary control function, including long term financial planning and forecasting and financial performance monitoring against budget.
  • Coordinate internal audit activities and ensure timely closure of gaps arising the internal audit findingsĀ·
  • Liaising with business stakeholders across all levels to achieve business performance goals.
  • Keeping abreast of the changing business and regulatory landscape to assess its impact and undertake changes to the business finance operations, including finance IT system

Requirements

  • A recognised Degree in Finance with minimum 13 years related experience.
  • Professional qualifications and a member of MIA. Audit background from Big 4 is an added advantage
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
  • Ability to strategize and good problems solving skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent people and analytical skills with strong business acumen.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders.
  • Result oriented, organized, can prioritize effectively to deliver results in a fast-paced work environment.
