Job descriptions

  • Reviews tax computations.
  • Assists and advises clients on various tax compliance requirements including transfer pricing, international tax, direct and indirect tax, etc.
  • Gives guidance and supervises staff in tax compliance and tax administration work.
  • Assists in advisory and consultancy work including tax planning, appeals to IRB, tax audits and investigations, investment incentives, etc.
  • Reply to client’s tax inquiry.
  • Overall control and development of the tax practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accounting or any professional qualifications. Non-graduates/part-qualified professionals with relevant working experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Good working relationship with colleagues, IRB, Customs, other relevant Government agencies, especially the Ministry of Finance, MIDA, MITI, etc.
  • Able to work independently and to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Technically sound with good analytical skills.
  • Client Service oriented.
  • Highly organized and reliable with a strong sense of professionalism, integrity and responsibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Approval as a tax agent under subsection 153(3) of the Income Tax Act 1967 is preferable.
  • Possess tax knowledge in Southeast Asia Region is preferable.
