Key Responsibilities:
- HSE Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
- Training & Awareness: Conduct HSE training programs and workshops for employees to ensure awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all operations comply with relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on HSE performance, including incidents, inspections, and audits.
- Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously improve the HSE management system.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in in stevedoring, port operation, or related field.
- Valid Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Green Book Holder preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HSE laws and regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently and in a team.
