Key Responsibilities:

  • HSE Policy Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Training & Awareness: Conduct HSE training programs and workshops for employees to ensure awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all operations comply with relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on HSE performance, including incidents, inspections, and audits.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously improve the HSE management system.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in in stevedoring, port operation, or related field.
  • Valid Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Green Book Holder preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HSE laws and regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently and in a team.
