Production Senior Engineer

Process Optimization:

• Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma or Kaizen to minimize waste and increase output.
• Ensure that production processes comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

Production Planning:

• Work closely with the production team to plan and implement production schedules.
• Monitor production timelines and adjust resources as needed to meet production targets.
• Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure raw materials and components are available as needed.

Quality Assurance:

• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to maintain and improve product quality.
• Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent future defects.
• Ensure adherence to quality control processes and standards in the production line.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Ensure regular maintenance of production equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot technical problems that arise during production and provide solutions to minimize downtime.
• Work with the maintenance team to ensure proper preventive maintenance is carried out.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Collect and analyze production data to monitor performance and identify trends.
• Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, downtime, and material usage.
• Present findings to senior management and recommend areas for improvement.

Cost Control:

• Monitor production costs and work to reduce expenses through process improvements and better resource utilization.
• Collaborate with the finance department to develop budgets and forecasts for production activities.

Continuous Improvement:

• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and output.
• Encourage a culture of innovation and collaboration within the production team.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams such as R&D, quality control, logistics, and procurement.
• Train production staff in new processes, procedures, and equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and production staff.

  Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a production engineering or manufacturing role.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production machinery, and equipment.
• Proficiency in using production management software (e.g., ERP systems) and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot production issues.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards).
• Certification in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, or similar is a plus.
