Get to know the Team

The Malaysia Safety team supports Grab's business verticals and operations in Malaysia and is responsible for all safety-related aspects of the platform. This team drives initiatives to improve User Safety (consumers, driver/delivery partners, merchants) for crime, accidents, and food safety/hygiene by developing tech products, policies, frameworks, communications and training and sharpening internal processes.

As a team, we also help influence the company's overall strategic direction by supporting the top management with safety insights and advice.

Get to know the Role

You will report to the Head of Platform Safety and maintain the database for safety-related incidents and develop actionable insights based on observed trends/analysis. These insights will influence policies and processes to improve user safety. You will also have the opportunity to work with cross-functional and country teams to build projects around maintaining high safety and quality standards for Grab users.

This is role is based in Petaling Jaya and hybrid.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • You will monitor safety incidents which involve investigating, summarising, tracking, analysing and presenting safety trends.
  • You will work with cross-functional teams to execute initiatives identified through audits and post-analysis on process improvements and product rollouts
  • You will support the team in operationalising new technological, and product developments rolled out to enhance the safety of our users.
