Setting Architecture Objectives and Strategies:
- Develop and enhance existing architecture principles and blueprints based on business needs.
- Lead the alignment of architecture principles to key IT initiatives.
Establish architecture practice:
- Lead the establishment of technology architecture practice.
- Establish an Architecture Review Board to align and support business initiatives.
- Create business value through architecture practice and alignment.

Architecture Performance management:
- Champions the importance and value of assessment and appropriate assessment methods, tools and techniques.
- Develops organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for assessments.
- Leads in the introduction and use of assessment methodologies and tools. Establishes an assessment practice and pool of assessors within the organisation.
- Establishes quality assurance to ensure internal and/or external consistency and reliability of assessment outcomes. Ensures the quality of assessments across different user groups.
Support technology procurement.
- Support the evaluation and choose appropriate technologies to optimize internal processes.
- Ensure technology aligns with business needs.
Planning System Implementations:
- Lead the implementation of key strategic systems.
Provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff during the transition.
- Ensure successful adoption of new technologies and manage Technology policies
Strategic Leadership and Competitive Advantage:
- Stay informed about technological advancements.
- Identify opportunities for the company to gain a competitive edge.
- Analyze costs, value, and risks related to IT investments.
Architecture Professional development:
- Develops and defines a professional development framework for one or more professional disciplines.
- Determines and maintains organisational development needs in line with business needs and strategic direction. Generates development strategies to achieve required change.
- Develops and leads communities of practice, including defining career pathways.
- Defines the approach to identifying suitable individuals to provide career advice and support. Monitors progress and evaluates business benefits achieved from continual professional development.
Advisory
- Provide technology market trend update to CIDO
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification such as Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Certification in Enterprise architecture such as IASA CITA-P or IASA CITA-D.
- Proven track record of leading and managing an architecture practice, as well as experience in a CIO or similar managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, data platforms, CRM, ERP, and finance systems.
- Expertise in data analysis, budgeting, and business operations is essential.
- Manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations, data protection, and cybersecurity risks, and have up-to-date knowledge of new or emerging technology.
- Strong influencing style with high credibility, integrity, a strong level of EQ, and a willingness to seek assistance and support when necessary. Good change management skills and be able to initiate and manage change effectively.
- Willing to work on a flexible schedule and travel. Experience in the automotive and consulting industry is a plus.
