Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor's in Pharmacy
  • Experience : Have previous experience in a community or hospital pharmacy is an advantage, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Team player : Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Compassionate care : A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to improving patient health outcomes.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Medication Management : Accurately dispense medications, ensuring patients understand their prescriptions, dosages, and potential side effects.
  • Patient Counselling : Provide expert advice to patients on the safe and effective use of medications, including potential interactions and lifestyle considerations.
  • Collaborative Care : Work closely with other healthcare providers to ensure that each patient receives comprehensives and coordinated care
  • Legal Compliance: Understanding and adhering to pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards to ensure all practices are legally compliant and safe for patients.
  • Attention to Detail: Pharmacists must be meticulous in dispensing medications, ensuring the right dosage, labelling, and understanding the patient's medical history to prevent errors.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals is vital. Pharmacists need to convey complex medication information clearly and offer advice to patients.
  • Problem-Solving: Need to solve medication-related problems, such as finding suitable substitutes for out-of-stock drugs or resolving insurance issues.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in mathematics for accurate measurement and compounding of medications.
