Qualifications & experience
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/MICPA/CIMA/MIA) or equivalent
- At least 5 years of working experience as the head of Finance Department with strong knowledge of consolidation and accounting standards, especially MFRS and tax and related issues.
- Proficient in English, ability to write good reports for board and senior management
- Computer savvy and strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Able to communicate in English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia.
- Good presentation skills.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Control and manage a team of accounting and administration personnel in daily accounting/finance work daily operations of Finance & Administration Department as well as the Human Resources Department at Head Office level
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, company secretaries, lawyers and other relevant statutory bodies/authorities
- Ensure that financial statements, documentation and records are prepared in conformity with the local Financial Reporting Standards and policies set by the Holding Company.
- To ensure timely preparation of financial reports for internal and external reporting.
- To review and set up procedures & policy and SOPs, to assist in planning, organizing and implementation of internal audit activities.
- Review and monitor tax reporting and submission to IRB
- Liaise with bankers, government authorities and departments
- Manage the Company’s treasury function covering the cash management, funding management, working capital management and risk management
- Coordinate and prepare annual budgets, monitor the budget utilisation and compare to actual performance.
- Prepare the forecasts and projections on Company’s financials for internal and external reporting. Preparing the MD&A for internal and external reporting. Preparing and drafting of audited report & annual report.
