JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop new dessert and pastry recipes
- Prepare, bake, and present pastries, desserts, and baked goods in line with the establishment’s recipes and standards.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared to the highest quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, following strict hygiene and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Comply with food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of food
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven with at least 2-3 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- Graduated with a Diploma in pastry & bakery will be an advantage
- Strong culinary skills, with expertise in the specific section you will manage
- Excellent knowledge of ingredients, food handling, food hygiene, food preparation and cooking procedures for a specific station
- Ability to consistently maintain a high quality of all food items and standards of presentation for a specific station
- Ability to maintain high levels of hygiene and order in work area including chiller and freezers.
- Meticulous, keen attention to detail and creativity
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Basic customer service skills
- Primarily based in Puncak Alam, but must be open to working outstation as needed by business requirements
