Position : Infrastructure Operations Manager.
The Technical Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability of all systems. This includes managing a team of technical support staff, coordinating with other departments to address operational needs, and implementing best practices for system maintenance and security. The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to system management, and the ability to swiftly adapt to new technologies and processes to support our dynamic business environment
- 10+ years of work experience as Infra operations manager.
- Through understanding of on-premises IT Infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of server Win/Unix/Storage setup; NW configuration.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid infrastructure setup / connectivity.
- Knowledge of topics like server hardening and security compliance.
- Understanding of legacy infrastructure (AS400) based setup.
- Proficiency in managing both Windows and Linux servers, including tasks such as installation, configuration, and maintenance. Expertise in virtualized environments using technologies like VMware and Hyper-V, ensuring optimal resource allocation and uptime.
- Have deep technical interactions with tech teams to support the client infrastructure.
- Follow up diligently on issues raised by clients with supporting teams / vendors.
- Track and report all issues with clear status and updates on a regular basis with internal leadership teams.
- Prepare weekly/monthly governance deck with accurate updates and ensure actions are tracked and followed up.
- Good understanding of service vendor operating environment.
- Strong client focus - ability to operate at prime customer contact level typically at senior director levels.
- Demonstrates a breadth and depth of operational Infrastructure & Applications service delivery management expertise in an international environment.
- Demonstrable experience of having designed and implemented significant productivity as well as customer satisfaction improvements.
- Significant experience of leading and managing teams (including matrix management) within an operational service delivery or shared services environment.
- Experience with customers in Insurance domain is an advantage.
- Relevant university degree and/or professional qualifications (e.g. ITIL or PRINCE2 preferred)
