SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operations in the energy sector. The COO will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving strategic initiatives as well as providing leadership role which requires a deep understanding of the sector, strong operational expertise, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Management to define and execute the overall business strategy.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
  • Monitor and improve operational processes and performance metrics.

Project Oversight:

  • Manage company projects from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery within budget and work with project managers to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Financial Oversight:

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to drive profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, investors, and industry partners.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and forums.

Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Sustainability Initiatives:

  • Promote sustainable practices within the organization and in project development.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the company operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in the energy sector.
  • Proven track record in managing large scale projects and leading teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and foster partnerships.
