A global leader in integrated transport and logistics services provider is currently expanding and looking for highly qualified candidate for the Assistant General Manager position based in Penang, Malaysia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with Business Development team to market and develop logistics business.
  • Set up warehouse operation and oversee its activities.
  • Ensure SOP compliance for all internal and external required process.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and corrective & preventive actions for issues.
  • Generate logistics revenue to meet plan forecast.
  • Ensure profitability of program by improving productivity (P&L).
  • Manage program owner to achieve customer SLA and expectation.
  • Manage new projects and work with BD.
  • Manage/oversee new project till operation mode.
  • Performance measurement of logistics revenue and warehouse operation

Requirements

  • Minimally 10 years’ experience (at least 5+ years in management capacity in large warehouse operations)
  • Good trouble shooting skills to establish root causes and provide effective solutions.
  • Good management skills for people management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills in costing, P&L and data analysis on process and systems
