About The Job
Responsible to prepare designs according to given design guidelines, standardization or customer projects (medium level).
Job Description
  • Create Design (drawings and details) for medium level complexity projects.
  • Fulfil regulations and guidelines connected to the component and product design and market requirements.
  • Ensure industry and quality standards are met.
  • Plan, execute and follow up on drawings based on contract review / technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain the drawing database and tools.
  • Participate in project and improvement work.
  • Generate the detailed P&ID based on the process engineer requirements and the specific project adaptations. Consolidate P&IDs for the specific job.
  • Perform system design tasks (pipe sizing, stress calculation etc.) for vessels, modules and 3D arrangements.
  • Use calculation and drawing tools/software.
  • Setup of the Software/CADISON project database for usage by the bid team.
  • Develop and maintain good standard solutions (standardization) together with BU.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced process engineers. Advise and help them resolve problems and issues.
  • Work with engineers on new vessel/ equipment/ duct design and resolution.
What You Know
  • Diploma / Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience in drafting vessels, P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and layouts.
  • Familiarity with drawing plant layouts, foundations, and ducting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor is highly advantageous.
  • Strong English language and communication skills.
  • Willingness to visit fabricators occasionally, with limited travel (approximately a few times per year).
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in free-sketching is preferred.
  • A creative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities, capable of thinking outside the box.
