A captain in the Food and Beverage (F&B) line plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent service and smooth operations in restaurants or other dining establishments. Here’s a full job description for a captain in the F&B line:
Responsibilities:
1. Supervising Staff: Oversee the performance of waitstaff and ensure they are providing high-quality service to guests.
2. Customer Service: Greet guests, take orders, and ensure that they have a pleasant dining experience. Address any customer complaints or concerns promptly.
3. Coordination: Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
4. Training: Train new staff on service standards, menu items, and proper procedures.
5. Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels of food and beverages and help with ordering supplies as needed.
6. Setting Up: Ensure that the dining area is properly set up before service begins, including table settings and cleanliness.
7. Sales: Promote menu items and specials to guests to increase sales.
8. Reporting: Prepare reports on daily operations, including sales figures and customer feedback.
9. Event Management: Assist in planning and executing special events or functions within the establishment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role in the F&B industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
