Senior Associate Internal Audit

Job Purpose

This role needs to provide independent and objective assurance to the organisation's stakeholders that risk management, governance, and control processes operate effectively. It helps safeguard the organisation's assets, ensures compliance, and supports informed decision-making by management.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborates with senior auditors to understand audit objectives and scope.
• Collects and analyzes relevant data to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Documents audit procedures, findings, and conclusions in a clear and concise manner.
• Executes audit tests to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
• Contributes to identifying areas of focus based on data analysis results.
• Participates in reviews to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Stays informed about changes in audit standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Assists in the preparation of audit reports.
• Handles any assigned tasks related to internal audit matters.

Qualifications, Skills, & Knowledge

• Degrees in business, finance, accounting, economics, law, or equivalent.
• Professional Certifications (added advantage):

(Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) / Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) /

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) / Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) / Certification in

Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)).

• Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the fields of audit, compliance, risk, integrity, and governance.

Functional Competencies

• Familiarity with audit methodologies and techniques.
• Skill in documenting audit procedures, observations, and conclusions clearly and accurately.
• Demonstrates a high level of integrity and ethical conduct in all audit activities.
• Uses technology to assist in data analysis and documentation.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
