Application Operations Engineer

At Maxain Tech, we’re pushing boundaries in financial services, and we need an Application Operation Engineer who is strong in cloud servers, especially AWS to lead our cloud-based infrastructure and application optimization. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure seamless, scalable, and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Deployment & Troubleshooting: Deploy, maintain, automate, and optimize applications and systems, ensuring zero downtime through proactive issue resolution.
• Server & Application Management: AWS, Linux, and Windows server management, ensuring performance, upgrades, and security patches across all environments.
• Security and Network Management: Design secure cloud-based networks (e.g., AWS VPC), manage routers, and troubleshoot network issues to maintain a robust infrastructure.
• Monitoring & Alerts: Set up and maintain monitoring systems to track performance, scalability, and alert for any system or application issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers and IT teams for integration and continuous deployment
• Performance Optimization: Implement best practices for load balancing, clustering, and database management to ensure high availability.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience with a focus on AWS and cloud-based infrastructure especially in financial services or brokerage industries.
• Technical Skills:
  • Programming: Strong experience with Java, Python or Bash for system automation and integration (experience with C++ is a plus for system integration).
  • Cloud & OS: Proficiency in AWS environments (EC2, S3, RDS) with knowledge of Linux and Windows systems for application management
  • Database: Expertise in MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle, including deployment and clustering.
  • Scripting & Automation: Strong skills in Shell and Python for automating tasks and resolving system issues.
  • Networking: Familiar with TCP/IP, VPNs, routers, switches, and network security protocols.
• Languages: Fluency in both English and Mandarin to collaborate with global teams.
