What a typical day looks like:

Responsibility

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of warehouse operations, with a focus on ensuring efficient and accurate handling of materials and products. The role involves supervising a team of warehouse staff, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor packaging of machines and loading onto containers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Plan and coordinate loading plan activities to meet delivery schedules.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming parts through Goods Receipt Note (GRN) in the system.
  • Liaise with the purchasing team to coordinate delivery plans and address supplier issues.
  • Inform the purchasing team of delivery schedules and any supplier-related issues.
  • Ensure that the system's inventory records tally with physical quantities through regular audits and reconciliation.
  • Plan and conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct safety and quality training for warehouse staff to maintain compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize warehouse processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Provide support to the warehouse manager for ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of new warehouse initiatives and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide input and feedback on warehouse operations to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for warehouse staff.
  • Conduct regular reviews of warehouse processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including packaging, loading, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
