  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.

Purpose of the Job:

At the Synthomer’s Health & Protection business, we are proud to offer innovative products that meet the market needs. A Product Manager owns the life cycle of our products. From identifying the gap between what we are offering and what the market needs, to strategizing the full life cycle of a product from conception to launch, s/he works closely with multiple functions to bring our offerings to the market that help our customers grow and position Synthomer as one of the market leaders. S/he also owns the 4P’s of our products, ensure their profitability, and constantly monitoring our product portfolio to identify when it’s time for product rationalization.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Closely monitor the market and identify opportunities for new product innovation.

  • Work closely with R&D, Sales, Technical Service, and customers to ascertain market potential for a new product and forecast its volumes and profitability.

  • Lead the Commercial part of a stage-gate process.

  • Create the go-to-market plan for a new product and work with Sales and Marketing on new product branding strategy and launches.

  • Monitor and improving pricing and costing for products to ensure profitability of new and existing products.

  • Work with Finance for the business’ 5-year plans.

  • Lead the Commercial part of product rationalization.

  • Assist ESG managers, Technical Service team, and customers in LCA calculation, joint product development, and new product strategy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or Finance

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, sales and marketing, research and development, or technical services

  • Strong proficiency in project management and coordination, with experience in product management, the stage-gate process, market research, go-to-market strategies, product launches, and financial analysis

  • Strategic thinker with leadership qualities and a collaborative team player

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
