A reliable operator with a sustainable business model. We are now looking for B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAME) to maintain and build on its position in the PNG market.

About the role
As a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Tropicair, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and safe operation of our fleet of aircraft. This is a full-time position based in Papua New Guinea, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining our aviation services and supporting the overall operations of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Ensuring the satisfactory completion and certification of all maintenance activities required by contracted operators/customers, in compliance with P119 regulations.
• Ensuring the organisations procedures, policies and standards are complied with when conducting maintenance activities.
• Ensuring all aircraft maintenance records are completed accurately before being processed to the Maintenance Controller. Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and modifications in a timely manner.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, and implementing appropriate corrective action.
• Collaborating with the broader maintenance team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our fleet
• Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to protect the wellbeing of our staff and passengers
• Providing technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.
• Other duties as requested.

What we're looking for

• Possession of a valid B1 and B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's License (LAME) with appropriate ratings for the aircraft in our fleet
• PT6 rating is highly regarded
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, preferably in the aviation services industry
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the wider maintenance team
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities as needed
