onsemi is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Product Engineer whose responsibilities will focus on MPD (Protection and Small Signal products) for Power Solutions Group. The following are key areas associated with our PE organization:

• Product owner, a Primary contact point of the assigned product portfolio, including supply chain management, customer service, sales and marketing, technical publications, document control, etc.

• Leading Cost Entitlement and Yield Entitlement on gap analysis to innovate improvement opportunities.

• Product Swimlane Owner or Project leader role in FAB/Assembly/Test transfer program in strengthen the supply resilience.

• New Product Development - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, qualify and driving the product technical deliverables to achieve the project part release timeline.

Responsibilities:

  • PE will establish relationships with key contacts in wafer fabrication and assembly/test to ensure strong communication and effective problem solving.
  • PE will facilitate cross functional teams for problem solving, including coordination activities with Product Engineers in other regions to achieve common goals.
  • PE will support Customer Return (EFAR) resolution and quality improvements to ensure customer satisfaction. Liaise with related manufacturing operations (test, assembly, probe and Fab) as needed to drive root cause investigations and resolution.
  • PE will work on yield improvements with support from related operations counterparts to reach the set targets.
  • PE will work on cost reduction projects to improve product gross margin and collaborate with related operations and other functional teams to achieve savings.
  • Responsible to provide onsite PE support for Manufacturing operations to enable smooth running of owned products to meet delivery expectations.
  • Product Swimlane Owner or Project leader role in FAB/Assembly/Test transfer program in strengthen the supply resilience.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably in Electrical, Electronics or Physics
  • Min 5 years of device or product and test engineering experience preferable.
  • Good in analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in statistical analysis tools such as JMP.
  • Proficient knowledge of power semiconductor devices such as Bipolar Power, ESD Protections, IGBT, Rectifiers and Mosfet.
  • Knowledge of or experience in silicon fabrication, assembly and testing of discrete power devices is strongly desired.
  • Candidate with project management experience will be a plus.

Wage & Salary

  • Worker will be paid not less than the minimum wage according to the local applicable law.
  • Worker will be entitled to all the statutory benefits such as EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, and Group Insurance

Working Hours

-Normal Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 5.00pm (Please observe your location working hours)

- Shift Structure:

Periodically rotating shift structure.

Shift working schedule: Day Shift : 6.00am – 6.00pm

Night Shift : 6.00pm – 6.00am

Overtime Rate:

Overtime hours is any number of hours more than the normal hours of work completed per day.

  • For overtime on Ordinary Working Day and/or Off Day: rate of one and a half (1.5) times the hourly rate of pay;
  • For overtime on Rest Day and Public Holiday: minimum of two (2) times the hourly rate of pay.

Annual Leave:

  • 13 working days on a prorated basis for less than 2 years of service. Max 22 working days for year of service 15+.
