Job Purpose:
The Retail Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth within the food industry by managing relationships with retailers, distributors, and clients. This role will involve developing sales strategies, increasing product visibility, and ensuring that the company’s products are represented effectively in retail environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the retail team to manage the cheese consignment counter, including cutting, weighing, wrapping, and displaying all range/types of cheeses on a weekly basis.
  • Oversee store visits to supermarkets and CVS stores, monitoring stock levels (Dry/Chill/Frozen), proposing orders, practicing FIFO (First In, First Out) to minimize returns, and obtaining purchase orders from stores on a daily basis.
  • Handle purchase orders, issue deliveries, and monitor stock quality.
  • Assist in setting up promotions, events, sampling, and training for promoters to enhance product visibility and sales.
  • Daily monitoring of purchase orders to ensure alignment with company operations and objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to meet targets and maximize product sales in retail outlets.
  • Identify and engage with new retail opportunities to expand the company's market presence.
  • Manage relationships with key retailers, buyers, and partners to drive product placement and promotional activities while ensuring excellent customer service by promptly addressing client concerns.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure effective product placement, merchandising, and promotional activities in stores, regularly visiting retail outlets to monitor product displays, stock levels, and marketing materials.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand customer preferences, competitor activities, and industry trends, preparing and presenting sales reports that include forecasts, market conditions, and key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Head, marketing, and product development teams to ensure timely availability of products and marketing materials, coordinating with retail teams to ensure smooth execution of promotions and discounts.
  • Provide product training and sales support to retail partners to enhance product knowledge and drive sales.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. (Is a junior post, perhaps we can amend)
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong understanding of retail sales dynamics and customer behavior in the food sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet sales targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM. Not needed

Compensation:
This position offers a basic salary along with a monthly sales incentive.
