Objectives of this role
- Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
- Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
Responsibilities
- Develop IT framework / strategy, standards, policies, and procedures aligned with Organization's direction in driving operational excellence
- Lead IT team to manage the end-to-end application management life cycle, including planning, development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading and support of organizational IT systems. This will include operating systems, servers, PCs, network, software applications, mobile apps and peripherals.
- Take the role as systems & solutions architect and ensure applications integration and data integrity across the entire IT landscape
- Enhance users' experience through improved service management to users
- Regular interlocks with executives, senior management, and system users
- IT staff management covering hiring, performance evaluation, training, coaching, disciplinary procedures, and dismissal
- Develop and implement relevant IT SOP, with written protocols and guidelines in place for IT team and end-users
- Drive negotiation with IT vendors to secure best deals, and responsible for engaging IT consultants and establishing service agreements
- Responsible for building and maintaining IT budget for each project, and managing overall financial activities in IT department, including IT purchases and ongoing budget
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
- Professional certification preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in information technology
- Experienced in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
- Experienced in managing and integrating applications and transforming them into integrated solutions
- Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), infrastructure design and networks
- Experience in any ERP solution, Microsoft development tools, Microsoft productivity software will be an added advantage
