Product Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Product Design Engineer/Senior Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Participating in the development of new products and enhancements, focusing on product engineering design for connector solutions.
• Designing and developing high-quality products while ensuring manufacturability in collaboration with other engineering functions.
• Conducting product design activities, including translating customer requirements into product drawings and specifications, performing design analysis and verification, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA.
• Validating product designs in accordance with customer requirements and international industry standards.
• Leading projects by defining and reconciling technical DFM with the Process Design team.
• Managing product engineering for the designated product line and being part of an integrated team to anticipate and resolve customer dissatisfaction.
• Improving product designs to reduce manufacturing costs.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product design development with a strong understanding of engineering and design principles.
• Experience in the interconnects design industry is desirable. Senior/Staff positions require excellent design leadership skills and knowledge of relevant product life cycles.
• Proficiency in Mechanical Design, Solid Mechanics theory, and its application to product design.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools such as Pro-Engineer CREO/ANSYS; 3D CAD modeling is essential.
• Knowledge of engineering drawing standards is required.
• Working knowledge of connector applications, plastic technology, insert-molding, and stamping processes is preferred.
