Manager, Finance & Contract Management

Report To

Head, Airlines Global Marketing

Position Summary

The Finance and Contract Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the Global Marketing department. This position is responsible for managing the department's financial operations, budget planning, compliance, and vendor management. It is essential for aligning marketing investments with business objectives while maintaining stringent adherence to corporate governance and compliance standards. The role supports strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and ensuring that resources are allocated cost-effectively to maximize ROI.

Key Accountability
  1. Financial Operations Management:
    1. Administer the financial operations within the Marketing department to optimize efficiency.
    2. Plan, organize, and oversee internal financial processes, ensuring compliance with Corporate Approvals and Policies (CAAP).
    3. Monitor and control the Advertising Expenditure (ADEX), ensuring forecasts align with business objectives.
    4. Work closely with Finance to manage provision and reconciliation for marketing expenses.
    5. Submit and track the annual ADEX and Operational Expenditure (OPEX) budgets, ensuring cash flow aligns with business requirements.
    6. Maintain up-to-date records of marketing expenses and streamline operational processes.
  2. Budget Management:
    1. Track and manage marketing budgets to ensure cost-effective allocation of resources.
    2. Provide regular financial updates to the Marketing department, including performance, ROI, and expense reporting.
    3. Support budgeting processes by centralizing approval documents and maintaining an organized repository for easy reference.
  3. Marketing Department Operations:
    1. Ensure compliance with CAAP requirements, governance standards, and legal obligations for all approvals and documentation.
    2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing expenses align with internal requirements, working with Finance, Procurement, Legal, and external vendors.
    3. Support business requirements by collaborating on the creation of Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO), ensuring timely processing.
  4. Team Collaboration:
    1. Work with various marketing stakeholders to support vendor registration processes, adhere to company policies, and meet departmental goals.
    2. Drive alignment across teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with marketing strategies.
  5. Vendor Management:
    1. Assist in identifying and evaluating external vendors and agencies that support marketing operations.
    2. Manage vendor relationships and ensure all contracts adhere to company policies and compliance requirements
Qualification & Working Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5 years or more in related field and function
  • ERP Software Proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics): Experience with financial and procurement systems commonly used in large organizations.
