Procurement Protege Trainee (Ref. No. R1006310)

at our location in Kuala-Lumpur

You will enjoy having these responsibilities:

Reporting to the Bids & Procurement Project Manager, the candidate will be ready to support Project Procurement activities.

  • Assist to coordinate the procurement processes with multiple stakeholders for the relevant bids and projects
  • Work closely with PPM to analyze the customers' needs and context, and to set out the expectation to the Category Team
  • Assist the PPM to oversee the subcontractors and serve as the interface between procurement and project on all acquisition matters
  • Assist PPM to coordinate ALL acquisition activities for all the projects assigned
  • Work closely with the Category team to secure the necessary materials and ensure project milestones are maintained
  • Coordinate and assist PPM with raising the necessary Purchase Orders and ensuring all materials secured as per Procurement Project Plan
  • Look into streamlining the various business processes within the Procurement activities and suggest and provide ideas for improvements
  • Follow up with suppliers Supplier On Time Delivery (SOTD) Key Performance Index (KPI)

You have:

  • Bachelor level in a relevant discipline (e.g. Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Engineering, Maths, Finance, Law or any other academic subject area).
  • Postgraduate qualifications are welcome but not essential.
  • Strong MS Office skills, for example, the proficient knowledge of Sharepoint, PowerAutomate, SAP By design, Excel and PowerPoint, will be necessary throughout this role.
  • The ability to manage shareholders and build strong relationships.
  • The skills to grasp complex technical concepts quickly, including process flows and policies.
  • The ability to collate information and produce comprehensive reports.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to analyze problems and develop practical solutions.
  • The skills to plan and organize workload and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
