We are recruiting an experienced Estimator on behalf of our client, a leading Bid Delivery team known for its success in residential and commercial projects. As an Estimator, you’ll work on diverse projects ranging from townhouses to high-rise developments. If you are an agile team player who can take the lead on projects, this opportunity is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the client's Pre-Construction Manager, Construction Manager, their teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare submissions, schedules, reports, and other documents related to tendering activities and EOI submissions.
  • Develop tender estimates and manage ongoing negotiations with subcontractors and clients, seeking final approval from the Bid Manager.
  • Provide strategic advice to the Bid Manager to enhance the likelihood of winning projects, while maintaining accurate departmental records for future reference.
  • Create Cost Plans for Design and Construction projects as required.
  • Review project variations with Construction Teams, when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Estimating.
  • At least 5 years of estimating experience, particularly in residential and apartment projects.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and understand tender documents, including specifications, drawings, schedules, and data sheets.
  • Proficiency in Cubit/Global Estimating software, with solid skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with industry stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strong client service mindset, committed to delivering quality outcomes.
  • Understanding of Australian Building Standards
