A career in Office of General Counsel, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the Firm’s legal department by providing dedicated legal support in the areas of litigation, counselling, and corporate, commercial, and employment law. You’ll play an important part in all aspects of regulatory proceedings involving the Firm and its personnel by supporting on regulatory issues, advising the Firm on matters relating to its operations, supporting the Firm’s client contracting function, and advising on matters related to employees.

As a member of the Office of General Counsel for MYVN Firm (In-house counsel), your responsibilities include:

  • Contracting - Review contracts or legal documentations between the firm and external clients / vendors. Provide advice and support to the Engagement Teams in relation to legal matters including fronting any discussion or negotiation with external clients. Protecting the firm’s interest without jeopardizing any business relationship with external clients.

  • Policy - Assist in preparing and providing clearer and simplified firmwide policies on legal matters.

  • Compliance Monitoring - Assist General Counsel in compliance testing on Anti Bribery and Corruption.

  • Training - Prepare materials and provide interactive training to the practice.

  • Business Partner - Assist Business Partners for Internal Firm Service (“IFS”) to organise meetings, engaging with IFS Leaders and colleagues to avert any communication gap between RISQ and IFS.

  • Litigation - assist in managing troublesome practice matters for the firm.

  • Legal advice - conducting research and providing general legal advice to the practice.

Preferred skills

  • Degree in Laws (LL.B).

  • Possess analytical mind, logical thinking, attention to details, and soft skill in maneuvering challenging situations.
