Chemist

• Supervise daily laboratory personnel and laboratory operation with compliance to required standard, customer requirements and established quality system;
• Carry out instrument calibration / preventive maintenance and as per schedule and equipment trouble shooting.
• Ensure daily QC performance and routine tests are done according to Quality Control Plan and standard test methods
• Support development, validation and verification of method,instrument calibration and trouble shooting.
• Attend to customer enquiries and questionnaires, customer complaint investigation and non-conformance related issues
• Support in audit activities such as customer, supplier, internal, external and regulatory/authorities etc
• Support in product quality improvement activities
• Support in ISO17025 implementation and maintenance
• Ensure incoming quality inspections of raw materials, packaging materials and process chemicals are done accordingly
• Conduct Training and manage lab personnel’s competency
• Ensure out-going final product are being tested and approved according to meet customers’ requirement

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree/Master in Oleo chemistry, Chemistry or related qualification
• At least 3 years working experience in laboratory environment ( prefer Oleo chemicals, fats and oil related experience)
• Strong knowledge of chemical principles, laboratory techniques and instrumentation for surfactant analysis
• Experienced in handling GC, HPLC, autotitrators, NIR instruments
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025
• Registered Chemist with IKM
• Knowledge in personal care and homecare related regulations is a plus
