Position Overview:

As a Legal Associate you will be responsible for managing legal and regulatory matters, focusing on compliance and contract management. You will work closely with internal teams and external legal experts to ensure adherence to legal requirements and support the company’s strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance

  • Collaborate with external legal experts to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications across various jurisdictions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations and standards in both established and emerging markets.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in relevant laws and regulations, advising on their impact on company operations.

Legal Research and Analysis

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on regulatory requirements, industry standards, and emerging trends.
  • Assess the legal implications of business decisions and provide strategic advice.

Contract Drafting and Negotiation

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, including those related to partnerships, vendor relationships, and internal operations.
  • Prepare and manage employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, and non-disclosure agreements to protect sensitive information.

Risk Management

  • Identify and evaluate legal and regulatory risks associated with business operations and projects.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and address potential legal issues

Advisory and Support

  • Provide legal support and advice to various departments, including HR, operations, and project management.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage employment agreements and other related documentation.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of legal documents, compliance records, and licenses.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for senior management on legal and regulatory matters.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with regulatory bodies, legal advisors, and industry groups to stay informed about regulatory changes and represent the company’s interests.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.

Project Support

  • Support cross-functional projects by providing legal insights and ensuring regulatory compliance.


Qualifications:

Education: J.D. or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a legal role, with a focus on compliance, contracts, or regulatory matters. Experience in the iGaming (Tech-related) regulatory environment will be a plus.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, licensing, and contract management. Familiarity with international legal frameworks and industry standards is advantageous.

Skills: Excellent analytical, research, and drafting skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Attributes: Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes and business needs.
