Summary:

Responsible to assist the Finance Manager in managing the Financial Accounting & Reporting functions within the Finance department to deliver timely, complete and accurate financial information to Management, to enable them to make more effective business decisions for the Company and for the purposes of complying with all regulatory requirements and reporting requirements.

Job Description:

  • To ensure the Group's financial resources are sufficient to meet Group's financial requirements by keeping the FC/FM up-to-date on the cash position of the Company.
  • Minimize idling of cash and reduction of cost of borrowing
  • Preparation of documentation works of all cheque payments and other forms of disbursements
  • Ensure proper recording of cash receipts and timely banking in
  • Maintain petty cash for the office
  • Proper recording and maintenance of accounting records of the Company on a timely basis
  • Ensure the account is properly supported with the necessary documents.
  • To liaise with others departments, suppliers, clients, etc to ensure the proper recording of the accounts
  • To keep the FC/FM informed on all peculiar matters of the accounts
  • To guide all account assistants/clerks in their daily works
  • Responsible for cashflow, banking and treasury management functions. Liaise with bankers / auditors / tax agents / company secretaries.
  • Perform any ad-hoc assignment and reports as at when requested by the CFO/FM, and Management.
  • Requirements:

    • Candidate must possess (at least a Diploma) Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
    • At least 3 – 5 years of working experience in a related field. Audit experience will be a plus.
    • Meticulous, proactive and a commitment to perform well and grow with Company.
    • High integrity, good judgement, mature, capable and ability to work independently as well as team player.
    • Proficient in computer skills such as MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and familiar with accounting software, Skybiz system is preferred.
    • Ability and willingness to travel (with own transport)
