NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate “Initial Meetings” with BDS, PUR, PRM, PRS, QA, TOL & SHP department after received PO for new mould fabrication from customer.
• Conduct “Feasibility Study” within 2 weeks after the Initial Meeting.
• Established “New Product Development Plan & Progress” within 2 weeks after the Initial Meeting and update the progress weekly.
• Assist Design Engineer in DFM preparation, submit to customer once completed.
• Follow up on DFM approval not later than 3 days after the submission.
• Arrange mould trial with PRM after mould complete fabrication.
• Coordinate meetings with PRM, PRS, QA & TOL for defects/ NG dimensions improvement plan after complete trial sample inspection or after received feedback from customer.
• Arrange mould re-trial with PRM as per schedule discussed during “Defects/ NG Dimensions Improvement Plan Meetings”.
• Submit sample and documents (PPAP, FAI, etc.) for product approval process after QA department complete inspection for final trial sample.
• Follow up product approval with customer after 2 weeks of approval sample and documents submission.
• Conduct “New Product Briefing” at least 3 days before the 1st lot Mass Production begin.
• To ensure “New Product Development Transfer to Mass Production Form” is closed within 4 weeks after 1st lot Mass Production completed.
• Coordinate meeting with BDS, PUR, PRM/ PRS, QA, TOL & SHP department as soon as received latest version drawing from customer for BDS to prepare quotation.
• Notify TOL department to proceed with tool modification as soon as received PO/ quotation approval and official drawing from customer.
• Established “New Product Development Plan & Progress” as soon as received PO/ quotation approval and official drawing from customer.
• Provide related information to QA department for updating approval documents (PPAP, FAI, etc.) after received official drawing from customer.
• Arrange mould trial with PRM after mould complete modification.
• Coordinate meetings with PRM, PRS, QA & TOL for defects/ NG dimensions improvement plan after complete trial sample inspection or after received feedback from customer.
• Arrange mould re-trial with PRM as per schedule discussed during “Defects/ NG Dimensions Improvement Plan Meetings”.
• Submit sample and documents (PPAP, FAI, etc.) for product approval process after QA department complete inspection for final trial sample.
• Follow up product approval with customer after 2 weeks of approval sample and documents submission.
• Conduct “New Product Briefing” at least 3 days before the 1st lot Mass Production begin.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalents with CGPA: 3.5 and above.
• Working experience in Injection Moulding – Engineering within 3 to 5 years.
• Familiar with Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiar with Production part approval process (PPAP).
