Job Scope :
This is a senior member of the Management team, the Senior FM/FC will report to the Board of Directors. This role is responsible for the overall financial management of the company. Beside the primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company, it includes direct responsibility for accounting, costing, finance, strategic planning, legal, deal analysis and negotiations, investor and bank relations, and financing matters.
The Senior FM/FC must have strong analytical, strategic planning and communication skills, including an ability to work well with the Directors and other senior managers.
Responsibilities:
Provide accounting & financial leadership as part of the management team to support strategic decisions and organisation growth. Manage accounts (including inter-company transactions and group consolidation), financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and provide insights on variances and trends Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. Partner with Sales and Operations to identify revenue opportunities; expansion prospects; analyse organization operations; identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement. Manage treasury and cash planning functions to ensure adequate fund to operate the planned trading activities. Formulate cash management practices to maximize yields, cost savings and efficiencies. Provide assessment on managing corporate risk management and develop counter action plans. Provide leadership in assessment and evaluation of M&A opportunities and the development of corresponding capital structure plans. Build the finance team Manage staff payroll and other HR related matters. Skills and Requirements:
High level of integrity and discipline with positive attitude. Strong analytical skills, highly motivated and result-oriented. Strong communication and people skills, ability to articulate and present ideas to key stakeholders. Sound knowledge of local & regional statutory reporting requirements. Experience in managing finance matters within agriculture /supply chain industry. Experience in crafting M&A Plan, corporate tax plan and business model development to optimize Group level financial bottom lines. Prior Finance & Treasury working experience within Asia is mandatory, particularly Malaysia & China. Minimum 10 years of post-graduate working experience, of which at least 3 years should be from an International Accounting firm. Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA will be an added advantage Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
