Job Descriptions:

  • Perform and improve occupational safety, health, and environmental functions such as control, monitoring, enforcement, implementation, coordination, and maintenance.
  • Review and ensure company compliance with government bodies regulations (e.g. DOSH, NIOSH, DOE, BOMBA, MOH, JKJR).
  • Maintain, enforce and enhance safety measures to meet Department Occupational Safety & Health Malaysia requirements and other global standards.
  • Oversee site operations, screen standard operating procedures, and ensure the safety of machines and equipment.
  • Oversee renewal and maintenance of fire extinguishers and fire fighting equipment.
  • Control distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Organize and provide mandatory safety training
  • Lead the implementation of safety and health procedures, conduct safety audits, and manage OSHA-related matters.
  • Identify, investigate, and report incidents and accidents, conduct risk assessments, and facilitate staff training on safety issues. Additionally, manage waste safety standards and maintain accident statistics.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.
  • Qualifications:

    • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering & Occupational Safety and Health
    • Certified Safety and Health Officer (CSHO) accreditation – Green book holder
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety and health role in manufacturing field.
    • Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and compliance requirements - OSHA 1994, EQA 1974 and related regulations
