Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analysis to establish root cause of equipment or machinery failures.
  • Perform routine metallurgical sample preparation and microscopic examination.
  • Perform laboratory test in accordance with existing/new test methods or procedures.
  • Laboratory tests involving Non-destructive testing, Positive Material Identification (PMI), SEM fractography, EDX analysis, metallography, hardness test, etc.
  • Interpretation and evaluation of test results and prepare official testing reports to customers.
  • Timeliness and accuracy to meet turnaround time.
  • Assist in fulfilling the requirements for the effective implementation of ISO9001 & ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Use the available resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Ensure Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory practice in the laboratory.
  • Perform any other responsibility as assigned.

Job Requirement:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent.
  • Preferably with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Experienced and skilled in Failure Analysis techniques including non-destructive testing, PMI, SEM fractography, EDX analysis, metallography, hardness test, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills – Able to interpret and summarize analysis data into test reports.
  • Candidates should be prepared to work in the laboratory and on-site.
  • Good communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Advantage if possess certificates such as NIOSH OGSP Safety Passport or AESP (Authorized Entrant & Standby Person for Confined Space).
