- Maximization of room sales and revenue for the availability and rate control ensure a high level of product knowledge of the hotel and the local area.
- Perform duties of secretarial nature including preparing correspondence, maintaining files
- Ensure a sales attitude is adopted at all times and maintain an awareness of all sales opportunities within the hotel. Liaise and follow up with support departments.
- Develop and maintain a high level of communication with all major sources of business and advise the Groups/Reservations Manager of feedback where necessary.
- Ensure a high level of customer service is consistently maintained.
- Advise the Groups/Reservations Manager of any changes or trends relating to business.
- Ensure all refused business is recorded with reason for refusal.
- Ensure that all correspondence has been filed accordingly, with correct and updated information.
- Adhere to all company credit policies to ensure that all revenue expected will be received.
- Maintain and update guest history and marketing database in accordance with the reservations procedures manual.
- Comply with all company policies relating to reservations.
- Comply with all systems and procedures as laid down by the Revenue Manager and Groups/Reservations Manager.
- Confirm availability control and overbooking decisions with the Groups/Reservations Manager.
- Prepares arrival list for the following day.
- Ensure advance payment are charge accordance to cut off date.
- Ensure group block inventory are release every end of shift.
- Perform daily check on House Account status.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibility as assigned
