Role Summary:

The Regional Sales Director for Elite Elevators in Malaysia will oversee sales strategies, manage regional sales teams, and drive business growth across designated regions. This leadership role requires a balance of strategic thinking, market insight, and operational execution to ensure the company’s products (elevators and related solutions) gain strong market positioning. The role also involves maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, developers, architects, and regulatory authorities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Sales Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in line with company goals.
  • Oversee sales activities in assigned regions to maximize market penetration and growth.
  • Lead and manage the regional sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.

2.Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with potential customers, including property developers, construction firms, and governmental bodies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the industry.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to promote and position the company’s offerings effectively.
  • Lead tendering, bidding, and contract negotiation processes for major projects.

3.Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team across the region.
  • Set performance targets for the team and ensure consistent performance management and reporting.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, promoting motivation and professional development.

4.Customer Relationship Management (CRM):

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and oversee resolution processes.
  • Implement CRM systems to track sales activities, leads, opportunities, and pipeline management.

5.Financial Management:

  • Manage the sales budget for the region, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Track and report on financial performance, ensuring that revenue, profit margins, and sales goals are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor pricing strategies to stay competitive while maintaining profitability.

6.Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that all sales processes comply with local laws and industry standards, including health and safety regulations.
  • Keep updated with local and international standards in the lift and elevator industry, adapting strategies as necessary.

7.Reporting & Communication:

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management regarding sales performance, market conditions, and business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as operations, technical support, and finance to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the lift, construction, or engineering industries.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing large-scale sales teams.
  • Experience in handling large commercial contracts and tenders.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach.
  • Knowledge of the lift industry, regulations, and market dynamics in Malaysia.
