Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Warehouse Specialist (Snowflake) to join our team. This role combines technical expertise in Snowflake data management with exceptional documentation skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Snowflake data pipelines, while also creating clear and comprehensive documentation for data processes and procedures.

Position: Data Warehouse Specialist (Snowflake)

Location: Menara 1 Sentral - Kuala Lumpur

Report to: Head of Business Process and Data Platform

What You'll Responsible For:

Snowflake and Datawarehouse Management:

  • Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data pipelines and procedures.
  • Implement data loading, transformation, and cleansing processes.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Monitor Snowflake performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize data models.


Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain clear, concise, and up-to-date documentation for data models, pipelines, and procedures.
  • Create user-friendly data dictionaries and metadata.
  • Develop data visualization tools to communicate complex data insights effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and create documentation that meets their needs.
  • Ensure documentation adheres to company standards and style guidelines.


What Experiences and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in Snowflake data warehousing and data engineering.
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in data modelling techniques.
  • Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with documentation tools and software
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Certifications in Snowflake or related technologies.
