Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

As the Regional Business Operations & Lean Manager for Gas Power, Asia region, you will be:

  • Responsible for driving lean deployment initiatives in the transactional (project based ) business process environment to support the business lines, functions, and market teams.
    • Facilitate, implement, and sustain transactional business process kaizens in the region.
    • Collaborate closely with Commercial and Execution Value Stream Leaders and respective regional and global teams to identify improvements at the point of impact, do Genba at project sites and prioritize the lean roadmap for the region.
    • Facilitate preparation for monthly operating reviews (MORs), drive daily management and analyze data to conduct problem solving/kaizens and solve for the red KPIs.
    • Improve standard work, executive Transformational Action Plan (TAP)
Build Lean Capabilities Across For Gas Power, Asia Region

  • Train and Coach employees on fundamentals of Lean (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Flow, Problem Solving, Standard Work, Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, Action Planning, Hoshin Kanri, 5S+1, Visual Management etc)
  • Develop Lean Coaches to empower the business to lead Problem Solving & Kaizens for Lean Improvements
  • Maintain data base of employees trained on Lean Tools
  • Coach Business Lean Leadership Program Participants to implement their Learning Development Plans
  • Build Continuous Improvement culture by influencing stakeholders to adopt Lean mindset; participate in the CI council.

Build Process Capabilities Across Gas Power, Asia Region

  • Develop Kaizen Calendar and run the rhythm to keep it updated.
  • Follow up on open actions in Kaizen Calendar with the stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Lead and run 3-5 days Kaizen events and ensure completion of Kaizen Newspaper actions to ensure sustainment.
  • Transform the Value Stream to bring performance change in KPI.
  • Lead Problem solving and coach teams to ensure completions of actions and ensure sustainment.
  • Coach teams and help them run Daily Management at different Tiers each week.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge.
  • Min 10 years of experience in driving the transactional (project based) business process lean improvements.
  • Background in Project Operations, Commercial Excellence or Continuous Improvement with proven track record of results using Lean methodologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
  • Strong excel capabilities, analyze data to connect the dots and have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of managing wing-to-wing long cycle, cross-functional, project-based industrial business process kaizens.
  • Ability to work in highly matrixed environment.

  • Ability to drive process simplification and influence others with effective communication.
