JR62791 Grants Data Analyst

This is a varied and exciting position and ideally would suit a qualified professional looking for experience of a fast-paced multinational environment. The Grant Data Analyst will play the role of analyzing, reporting and redefining the data into useful information and clear insights, supporting the needs of Grants Management team & business partners in the overall grant processes.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Assist in extracting, gathering and preparing data that are relevant to grant activities.
  • Working to streamlining reports/data and unstructured data from multiples reports or source of data
  • Interpreting applicable data and transform information into insights that collaborators require
  • Develop monitoring tools and reports to ensure compliance with grant funding and reporting requirements
  • Assist in design and development of data visualizations
  • Define and extract data to support grant activities
  • Connect with various business partners and finance analysts on the data structure
  • Provide support to various partners, such as grant management for grant related activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Key Skill/Competencies

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • SAP & Ariba experience highly desirable
  • Experience in data analysis & result oriented
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional quantitative problem-solving skills, fluency with data management tools
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision / direction
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines in a constantly evolving environment
  • Ability to think broadly and connect-the-dot on complex matters
  • Strong communications skills and ability to translate complex data concepts to non-technical and/or executive-level staff

Education & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance
  • At least 2 - 4 years of relevant working experience
  • Data mining, management and analysis experience
  • Background in analytics, statistics, information management, financial/business analysis or related fields preferred.
  • Experience in finance environment is preferred
  • Strong knowledge on finance systems (eg. forecasting tools, CAPEX tools), data extraction, automation, RPA & accounting practices
