With boundary-layer wind tunnel testing and CFD modelling at the heart of many of our services, we are seeking a Digital Modelling Engineer to become actively involved in the design & build process for both digital and physical models for these two critical branches of our modelling work.
Digital modelling for structures of all types is central to the role, as is the support for both pre- and post-processing activities for experimental and computational studies.
Primary Duties
- Responsibility for digital modelling for CFD and wind tunnel projects, including quality assurance.
- With engineers and project managers, responsibility for wind tunnel model design & manufacture.
- Coordination of external subcontractors, as required.
- Supporting the operational and technical development objectives of the company.
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant engineering or design-oriented field.
- Experience of 3D / digital modelling, primarily Rhino 3D, but also Autocad & Sketch-Up, would be considered to be advantageous.
- Some experience of programming / scripting in current software development environments (e.g. Python, VBA, Matlab) may be considered to be advantageous.
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong communication skills.
This is a remote ‘work-from-home’ position based in Malaysia. Regular in-person work-related and social team gatherings are an important part of the role.
Salary to be expected is MYR 3,650 to 4,150 per month, with review following a successful initial period with the company.
