SOC Engineer (Shift)

Position reports to: Head, SOC

Job Overview:

Service Operation Centre (SOC) is the heart and Centre of the Network division, ensuring that our network platform is optimal and providing expert technical support to customers. Shift engineers must ensure all the network elements are monitored 24x7 towards Excellence Customer Experience (ECE).

Your Work Life:

• Keep our services and network up and running 24x7 and assist with quick escalation and restoration if outages occur.
• Provide level 2 troubleshooting and manage high-priority and/or managed services (MS) customers.
• Escalate technical issues quickly and ensure they get resolved fast.
• Provide network-related support to other departments and regional offices.
• Proactively and continuously monitor network and service performance

What You Need:

• Possess at least a Degree in Telecommunication/Electronic Engineering or its equivalent
• A minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in the related field
• Experience and knowledge of Telecommunication system
• Have good interpersonal and written communication skills
• Vital interpersonal, communication, teamwork and negotiating skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Able to work in shift working hour (Day & Night)
• For this role, it is crucial for you to constantly have a customer mindset i.e. able to think and react in ways that will be beneficial or cause the least disruption to our customers
• You have an appreciation for good service level and customer experience, whilst having the ability to anticipate and mitigate problems
